camera bagNow that the switch to digital cameras has all but been completed, everyone seems to be an expert photographer because the cameras do all the work. But an expert photographer says there are many things amateur photographers need to learn before they can see the quality in their photographs like the ones professionals take.

Both amateur and professional photographers have many choices in cameras in addition to camera bags and cases to carry their cameras and all the extras like various size lenses, additional digital photo cards (the small ‘cards’ that hold all the photos) and extra batteries. Many experts agree that an individual, amateur or professional should carry one extra battery for every day they will be taking photographs.

Other advice professional photographers have to offer anyone interested in taking photographs is to always have at least 2 GB of card space per day available if you are shooting a lot of raw images. Bring even more card space with you if you are taking action shots or trying to capture just the right facial expressions – like with models or small children.

Famed outdoor photographer Paolo Marchesi has done it all for his craft, which is outdoor photography and working for Outdoor Life magazine.  Marchesi participated in an extreme mule deer hunt near the Missouri River Breaks and an expedition in Montana with a special carcass biologist.  He has been swimming with giant squid in the deep blue ocean; climbed ice covered mountains in the Arctic and hiked up volcanoes. For his craft, Marchesi has endured concussions, countless aches and pains, frostbite and the occasional headache all for the pursuit of the perfect picture.  He considers himself to be a sportsman first and foremost who likes to think of his work to be an extension of his rugged everyday life.

A good quality camera bag is a ‘must-have’ for any style photographer; however camera bags are like purses or wallets, they are a personal choice to be made by the individual who will be using it day in and day out.
